Happy Thanksgiving, and some football Thursday, November 23, 2006 Posted by jaygross Comments: 0
Would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone and their families a great holiday. Lots of great things to be thankful for this year for me - health, happiness, family, friends, the growth of SportsCollectors.net, and that the Yanks didn't win the World Series yet again (wow has it been a while).
So before we all chow down on turkey, let's talk some (my picks in red):
Miami Dolphins at Detroit Lions Joey Harrington comes back to Detroit, and he has been better than I thought he would be - even though way too many INTs. Expect heavy booing!!! After an awful start, the fish have looked better the past few weeks. Even though I like neither team, I'm going to go with the Lions (have to root against any AFC East team not from New England). Look for a big day from big Roy Williams, that guy can make plays.
Tampa Bay Bucs at Dallas Cowboys After that huge win over the Colts and then a short week, I think the Cowboys are in for a letdown. I little to no faith in the Bucs (especially with Simeon Rice done for the year), and I have to pick the Cowboys here.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs Larry Johnson has looked nasty now that their line is coming together, and having Trent Green being back is huge. Their defense needs to blitz, blitz, blitz and keep blitzing Plummer to force him to make stupid mistakes - which he will at some point. I'm seeing a HUGE running game from both teams, but the Chiefs will win out.
